I love to watch my newborn babies grow up and shooting their smash cake for their first birthday is a great way to celebrate that first year of life. I first got to meet Madeline at her newborn session which I enjoyed so much. She was such a cutie and it was great to see her a year later.
For Madeline's smash cake we went with the boho style and I used a new backdrop that had most of the decorations in it which gave more room for little Maddie for her photos. For her cake we went with a nice naked cake which has light frosting. Mama supplied her outfit which was so adorable.
Some of my parents elect to shoot milestones at 3, 6 and 9 months and add the 1 year smash cake to wrap up the year. For this session big sister joined in to help serve up some of the cake. It was yummy.
Maddie really enjoyed her self, enjoyed the cake and we had a great photo session. Again so great to see her grow up as I really enjoyed her newborn session. She was such a cute baby and still is. Can't wait to see her some more for future milestones.
