With the addition of my new couture gowns March pulled in quite a few clients who wanted studio maternity sessions. Debbie saw one of my new couture gowns that was a new design with a beautiful beige color.
This gown isn't a robe like my previous gowns and actually has a detachable bolero if you want to expose your arms. If you choose to wear the bolero attachment then it adds some additional ruffles. For a background I opted for this new seamless paper backdrop that I had picked up for some more neutral colors.
Many of my clients like this pose where they lay down in a be of ruffles and I had to make sure this gown could do the same. I do edit in some extra ruffles to fill in the photo but the gown does most of the work. With the split open belly it makes great little shots like this.
Debbie had sent me some inspirational photos where someone was wearing a long white fabric that draped off of them. I used the white fabric I had to give her my vision of her inspo photo.
I also wanted to give you a flying fabric photo as well which she pulled off beautifully. As I'm starting to see more requests for draping fabric in maternity photos I'll be ordering more fabrics of different colors. The beauty of doing a studio maternity session is that since it's private so we can explore more options and wonderful shots. The studio is also quite warm during the cold months allowing you to enjoy your session.
