A whale of a newborn photoshoot

When I plan out a newborn photo shoot I always ask the mama for colors or theme to go along with the nursery. For this little guy I was requested to do a theme that incorporated whales. I created a few different setups to see if we could capture what mom envisioned. For one set I used my little boat that I have used before and created a little beach scene.

I used my sailor outfit that I had and mama brought the little whales with her to help complete the set.

I then changed up the set just a bit by switching out the boat to a raft with a different bump pillow. We also switched this little guy into a different outfit. This little guy was out like a light so we could make these changes easily.

Next I used a little bed and added a nightcap for a different look. Mama brought these little whales with her to add to the photo.

Also shot some photos of him on the bean bag with the sailor outfit laying on a blanket with whales on it. In this photo he was holding onto a little teddy bear.

Just for fun I created this photo with him on a digital backdrop to look as if he was riding the back of a whale.
